.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- With southerly downsloping flow across the Alaska Range, hot,
dry, and windy conditions will continue through this afternoon
in the Upper Tanana Valley, where a Red Flag Warning is in
effect. Windy but not as hot/dry conditions continue through
Isabel Pass into Delta Junction through this evening.
- Isolated thunderstorms are ongoing in the Eastern Interior and
will continue through this evening. Additional chances for
isolated storms return to the eastern border and Brooks Range
Tuesday, but less activity is favored compared to today.
- While warm conditions will remain possible Tuesday in the Upper
Tanana Valley with cooler conditions and rain showers possible
elsewhere, southerly flow will end, which should aid in RH
recovery and drop high temperatures to near or below 70F.
