.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- A cooling trend is expected to begin today with highs in the 70s
for the warmest areas and 60s elsewhere. Min RHs will rise into
the upper 30 to 40% range.
- As a front lifts northward, gusty winds will be expected
through the day today in Isabel Pass prompting a Wind Advisory
to be issued for southerly wind gusts upwards to 55 mph tonight
through Wednesday morning.
- Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected
this afternoon over the Eastern Interior that will lift north
towards the Brooks Range. The Fortymile Country and Brooks
Range will likely see the bulk of the precipitation for today.
- A coastal storm in the Bering Sea will move into the Interior on
Thursday with widespread precipitation, gusty winds, and cooler
temperatures to finish out the week.
