.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Temperatures will warm towards into the 60s for most spots
today, coolest in the Eastern Interior. We see an increase on
Wednesday with most spots in the upper 60s to near 70, the
exception being west of the Dalton Highway where it remains in
the low 60s.
- Minimum RHs will gradually decrease today, around 30 to 40% in
the Central Interior and 40 to 50% in the Eastern Interior. Min
RHs on Wednesday will be around 30 to 40% in most spots.
- West-southwest winds are expected to increase on Wednesday.
Expect sustained winds around 10 to 15 mph in most valleys with
15 to 25 mph likely around the Dalton Highway Summits, Yukon
Flats and White Mtns.
- Another frontal system approaches the Interior Wednesday night
with scattered showers in the Brooks Range and an isolated
shower in the Eastern Interior.
- Confidence is increasing for a warm-up in temperatures and
lowering RHs heading towards the weekend and next week.
