.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Scattered showers persist in the Interior through the weekend.
Wetting rains will be spotty, especially in the Eastern Interior
with the highest chances north of the Upper Tanana.
- Temperatures remain in the mid to upper 60s through Saturday,
warmest in the Upper Tanana Valley. Temperatures drop into the
50s and mid 60s on Sunday before rebounding towards upper 60s
next week.
- Min RHs will largely be above 50% except for the Upper Tanana
which will be around 30 to 40% through Saturday, then increase
into the 50s on Sunday before dipping again Monday.
- Winds will be weakening in the AK Range Passes this afternoon.
Winds in the Interior will be mainly light, but an occasional
gust to 15 mph is possible in the afternoon.
- Winds increase in the AK Range on Saturday with gusts to 40
mph, wind gusts in the Upper Tanana will be more frequent around
15 to 20 mph. Winds shift northwesterly and increase again on
Sunday in the Upper Tanana with gusts upwards of 20 to 30 mph.
