.DISCUSSION...Isolated thunderstorms possible today from
Arctic Village north and west with widely scattered storms
from Hughes to the Central Brooks Range as a wave of
energy moves from west to east Today.
The isolated storm chance moves east tomorrow as the thermal trough
moves north and east with isolated storms possible across the
entire Central and Eastern Interior. The higher terrain has the
greatest risk for a storm while the valleys will largely have
isolated to scattered rain showers. Temperatures remain hot this
week as a ridge of high pressure builds over the Central and
Eastern Interior. Widespread highs in the 70s to low 80s through
Tuesday and mid to upper 80s on Wednesday.
