.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- Drying/warming trend continues today, with min RHs bottoming out
around 25-35%. A Heat Advisory is in effect for the Yukon Flats
and Fortymile Country for temperatures in the mid to upper 80s
through 10 PM tonight.
- A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM today for Isabel
Pass and Delta Junction. Wind gusts up to 65 mph are expected
through Isabel Pass, with gusts up to 55 mph in Delta.
- Isolated showers and thunderstorms return this afternoon,
transitioning to isolated to scattered showers tonight into
Tuesday that will lift north towards the Brooks Range.
- Heavy precipitation amounts will remain focused in the Western
Alaska Range, with totals elsewhere around a T-0.25" for most
locations, locally higher amounts up to around 0.25-0.50"
through Tuesday.
- A coastal storm in the Bering Sea will move into the Interior on
Thursday with widespread precipitation, gusty winds, and cooler
temperatures to finish out the week.
