.DISCUSSION...
Key Messages...
- A front moves north across the Interior Monday morning bringing
moderate to heavy rain showers to much of the Central Interior.
Precipitation then shifts south and east towards Fairbanks and
the Yukon Flats late Monday into Tuesday. The far southeastern
Interior remains mostly dry despite this southeastward movement.
- Temperatures cool Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 60s.
Temperatures slowly warm towards the mid to upper 60s by the
end of the week.
- Min RHs trend upwards Monday and Tuesday although the
southeastern Interior is expected to remain mostly dry.
- Strong southerly winds continue through the Alaska Range Passes
through Monday.Gusts up to 75 mph possible for Isabel Pass along
the Richardson Highway and Gusts up to 65 mph possible for
Windy Pass along the Parks Highway and Delta Junction. Winds
weaken Monday evening.
