.DISCUSSION...Cool and wet conditions continue as a Gulf of Alaska low provides
waves of energy to the Interior. Moderate to heavy rain is
expected Wednesday, and into Thursday from the White Mountains to
Alaska Range with wetting rain likely. An isolated thunderstorm
could be embedded with the showers south of the White Mountains
and widely scattered north of the White Mountains. An inch or
more of rain isn`t out of the question in the Alaska Range and
hills south of the White Mountains with 0.25 to 0.50" expected
elsewhere. North of the White Mountains, rain will become spottier
and showery. Temperatures will remain cool with highs in the 60s
to near 70 in the valleys, and 50s to low 60s in the terrain. Min
RHs will be in the 40-60% range for most spots.
