.DISCUSSION...

Vicinity of ocean off the coast of Point Hope:

Mixed bag of conditions today, with CIGS and VIS being the
primary concerns. Winds broadly remain at 5 to 10 kt out of the
SSW, becoming more WSW to W as one reaches Cape Lisburne or goes
inland.

Mostly cloudy to overcast skies currently present generally
trending towards more partly cloudy, especially through the
afternoon hours. CIGS will prove to be more challenging to
forecast, with some areas of IFR to LIFR conditions through the morning
hours before larger breaks begin to appear through the afternoon.
VIS will likewise be very low during the morning hours, but will
improve for some parts of the vicinity through the afternoon. Exact
timing on when the greatest chances for breaks in the marine layer
will occur remain difficult to pin down. CIGS and VIS will be
significantly better for areas inland.
