Overall warm and dry conditions continue into the weekend as
southeasterly flow builds over the state. Scattered rain showers
may develop during the afternoon hours Wednesday and Thursday, but
thunderstorm chances remain low. The greatest chance for
lightning will be in the Upper Tanana Valley near the AlCan
border. High temperatures will stay warm on Wednesday before
briefly cooling into the mid to upper 50s Thursday and Friday as
cold air gets pushed south. Min RH values will be in the low to
mid 30s the rest of this week before decreasing to around 25%
through the weekend. Expect mainly south/southeast winds on
Wednesday shifting towards the west/southwest by Thursday at
around 10 to 15 mph.
