.DISCUSSION...
Temperatures in the low to mid 70s Wednesday afternoon will begin
to decrease by the early evening, as cloud cover begins moving
into the area. Occasional wind gusts of 10 to 15 mph through the
late afternoon will subside as daytime heating fades. The
increasing cloud cover still looks set to help to keep an
inversion from forming overnight. The cloud cover should also
moderately suppress temperatures on Thursday, with highs in the
upper 60s to lower 70s, and min RHs trending slightly higher
(35-45%). Winds on Thursday will start on the light and variable
side, before becoming more SE at ~5-10 kt, with occasional gusts
up to 15 kt, in the afternoon. A few isolated showers can`t be
ruled out on Thursday but am not optimistic on their chances, and
dont anticipate them to lead to wetting rains. Friday will see
high temperatures down to the mid 60s and min RHs slightly higher
again, between 40-50%.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible over the terrain north of the
fire each afternoon. If one does form nearby, gusty outflow winds
may approach the fire. Chances for wetting rains are lower (near
0) in the valleys Wednesday and Thursday. Wetting rain chances
return to the region as early as Saturday, but forecast confidence
is very low at this time.
