.DISCUSSION...
Another day of near-critical fire weather conditions is expected
as high pressure builds into the Eastern Interior. IF high
temperatures are on the upper end of guidance (73F/74F) near Tok,
min RHs will approach 25% this afternoon. These warmer
temperatures would have the best chance to occur before 4PM, as we
are expecting increasing cloud cover to begin moving into the
region after 4PM. A couple of wind gusts of up to 15 mph are
possible around Tok as solar mixing could bring down ridgetop
winds into the valley this afternoon. Cloud cover increases in the
region this afternoon, which will help to keep an inversion from
forming overnight and keep temperatures down and min RHs up
Thursday.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible over the terrain north of the
fire each afternoon. If one does form nearby, gusty outflow winds
may approach the fire. Chances for wetting rains are lower (near
0) in the valleys Wednesday and Thursday. Wetting rain chances
return to the region as early as Saturday, but forecast confidence
is very low at this time.
