162 FNAK79 PAFG 301453 FWSAFG Spot Forecast for 218-Ninetyeight...BLM National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 653 AM AKDT Wed Jul 30 2025 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0720 AKDT on July 30. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... While there aren`t too many rain showers currently around the fire, we are watching for an uptick in activity later this morning and into the early afternoon. Given current trends, it looks like shower activity will increase over the next 3 to 5 hours (10am to 12pm) with showers thereafter. However, there is a chance that the incoming line of showers misses the fire by a few miles to the south. Otherwise, high pressure builds in tomorrow with a warming and drying trend through the weekend. There`s a chance for a storm as soon as Friday afternoon, but most thunderstorm activity will hold off until the weekend. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (80-90 percent).
