...WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 PM AKDT
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph
  expected. Locally stronger winds around 25 to 35 mph with gusts up
  to 50 mph are possible across higher elevations.

* WHERE...Central and Eastern Interior north and east of Fairbanks,
  and the Upper Tanana Valley.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As a cold front brings scattered to widespread
  rain showers across the Interior Tuesday into Wednesday, winds will
  ramp up late Tuesday into Tuesday night out of the west. Winds are
  expected to peak throughout the day Wednesday, before gradually
  subsiding Wednesday night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure loose belongings ahead of
the stronger winds.
