  mile at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be a narrow snow gradient. The
highest potential for heaviest snow lies southeast of Fort Yukon.
West and north of there, the likelihood for heavier snow drops
quickly. Locations near Beaver and Livengood may end up getting
closer to 2 to 4 inches or less.

* WHERE...Eielson AFB and Salcha, Harding Lake, and Two Rivers.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 4 PM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A very sharp gradient between light and heavy
snow will develop on Tuesday. If this gradient is west of the area,
totals will likely end up on the higher end of this forecast range.
If the gradient is to the east of the area, snow accumulations will
be on the lower end of this range.

424 AM AKDT Tue Oct 20 2026

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM AKDT
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Denali Borough.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North and west of Healy, the chance for heavy
snow drops off quickly due to a narrow gradient of snow. There is
potential for greater than 6 inches in Healy but only a few inches
in Anderson. The exact placement of the area of heavier will have a
dramatic effect on the final snowfall totals. If the band moves a
few dozen miles west, snowfall totals will be on the higher end of
the range, especially near Healy. If the band moves a few dozen
miles east, snowfall totals will likely be on the lower end, even
  in Healy.

424 AM AKDT Tue Oct 20 2026

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING
TO 4 PM AKDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 7
  inches.

* WHERE...Fairbanks, Fox, Chatanika, Ester and Nenena.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 4 PM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates will intensify through Tuesday,
with heavier snow expected by late Tuesday morning. There is high
uncertainty in the exact location of this heavier snow area, as a
band looks likely to set up immediately east of the area. This
detail will be crucial in determining which spots get 6 inches or
more versus 3 inches or less. A 30 mile change east or west will
result in drastic differences. If the area of heavier snow shifts
slightly west, heavy snow becomes more likely over the area, and
some areas like North Pole could see greater totals of 7 or even 8
inches. If the area of heavier snow shifts slightly east, heavy
snow becomes less likely over the area.
