...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM AKST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations
  between 1 and 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Chatanika River Valley, Eielson AFB and Salcha, Fairbanks
  Metro Area, Goldstream Valley and Nenana Hills, Nenana, Tanana
  Flats, Two Rivers, Upper Chena River Valley, and White Mountains
  and High Terrain South of the Yukon River.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be impacted. Areas of blowing snow could
  significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could
  impact the Thursday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers and squalls will continue at
  times through the night. Visibility underneath these snow squalls
  will be one-quarter mile or less at times with significant blowing
  and drifting snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. Visit 511.alaska.gov or call 5
1 1 for the latest road conditions.
