.DISCUSSION...This afternoon, Saturday the 8th, the weather station
along the Haines Highway (HHKA2) reported temps reaching the low
60s. RH values dropped to near 60 percent and winds were generally
10 mph or less.
Mostly cloudy skies continue tonight with a slight chance of rain
showers, with little to no measureable precipitation. For Sunday,
we expect temperatures to be warmer, reaching the low 70s, with a
few more breaks in the cloud cover. Minimum RH values in the
upper 40s are possible. There will also be a slightly better
chance of rain showers as a weak system pushes into the area from
the Yukon, but any organized, heavier precipitation will likely
miss the site through Sunday evening. Humidities on Sunday night
will recover to around 90 percent, with a similar pattern ensuing
again on Monday.
