...WARM TEMPERATURES AND PRECIP CONTRIBUTE TO RISING RIVERS IN
THE NORTH...

Precipitation over the coast mountains in conjunction with warming
temperatures into the next work week will contribute to an
increase in river levels over the far northern inner channels of
Southeast Alaska. As shower activity diminished, snow
melt will become a more dominant factor. Water levels in the
Chilkat River, the Skagway River, and the Taiya River are being
monitored closely for indications of river rises.
