URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...KLONDIKE HIGHWAY SNOW MONDAY INTO TUESDAY MORNING...

.Another cold front will move across the Panhandle, bringing more
extensive snow back to northern areas on Monday. The current
forecast has confidence of 3 to 5 inches of snow accumulation with
the greatest amounts at the highest elevations along the Klondike
Highway near White Pass for a 12-hour period starting Monday
morning and lasting through Monday evening.

Light snow will begin again very early Monday morning. The heaviest
rates will come in sometime Monday afternoon until 6pm, with
potential of a few hours of 0.5+ inch per hour rates. After the
front passes, the snowfall rates will precipitously decrease with
persistent light snow into Tuesday morning.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Snow accumulations ranging from 3 to 5
  inches.

* WHERE...Klondike Highway North of MP 6.

* WHEN...From 6 AM to 6 PM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow is expected Monday
  afternoon with snowfall rates of up to 0.5+ inches per hour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

People are urged to prepare their property before the onset of
winter weather.
