A weak, decaying low pressure will bring moisture up from the south, generating snow showers for Haines, Lutak, Mud Bay, and the Haines Highway continuing through Monday afternoon. Highest uncertainty regarding this system is the depth of the moisture profile, which will dictate heavier rates. As of 8am, Amounts have ranged from 1 to 4 inches, with one report of 5 inches near Chilkat State Park at 400 ft elevation. Snow showers expected to continue through the afternoon with rates reaching 0.5 inches at times in heavier showers.
