In south central Virginia, City of Hopewell, City of Petersburg, Dinwiddie and Prince George. * WHEN...Until 230 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. There has been reports of water over US 460 in low lying areas southeast of Petersburg. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1022 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen across the area, with localized amounts of up to 9 inches just west of Petersburg. The rain has ended, but flooding will continue through early afternoon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
