.DISCUSSION...
A cold front approaches the area later this afternoon and crosses
the region tonight into Thursday. Dry most of today, before a
chance of showers and thunderstorms arrives late this afternoon
into this evening. Any thunderstorms will have the potential to
produce strong wind gusts. A chance of showers and thunderstorms
lingers into Thursday for southern Virginia and northeast North
Carolina. Drier Friday as high pressure builds north of the
region.
