...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL NOTTOWAY AND
SOUTHWESTERN AMELIA COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM EDT...

At 443 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Jetersville, or 7 miles north of Crewe. This thunderstorm was nearly
stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central
Nottoway and southwestern Amelia Counties, including the following
locations... Fergusonville, Denaro, and Maplewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
