...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL MECKLENBURG COUNTY
THROUGH 300 PM EDT...

At 217 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Boydton, or 11 miles southeast of Chase City. This thunderstorm was
nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Boydton around 220 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include John H Kerr Dam,
Rogers Corner, Baskerville, Beechwood, Wightman, and John H Kerr
Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
