.DISCUSSION...

A strong frontal system is on approach to the forecast area
bringing rapidly increasing winds and rain. Currently,
unrestricted visibilities and VFR ceilings prevail, with winds out
of the south and gusts reaching up to 25 mph. Winds to begin
increasing rapidly and shift southeasterly before midnight as the
front approaches, peaking from 6 AM AKDT to 2 PM AKDT, with gust
speeds up to 75 mph possible. Expect ceilings and visibilities to
lower similarly as the winds as the front moves approaches. MVFR
ceilings to move in by midnight tonight, with IFR ceilings
possible by early Thursday morning. Reduction in visibility is
expected with the onset of heavy rainfall rates beginning Thursday
morning.

Thursday through Friday morning, expect weaker but still strong
winds prevailing out of the south gusting up to 60 mph through
Friday afternoon. Expect rainfall rates, ceilings, and
visibilities to improve by Thursday afternoon. Light rain to
