Spot Forecast for Adak Tarballs...NOAA
National Weather Service ANCHORAGE AK
201 PM AKDT Fri Aug 14 2026

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1000 AKDT on August 15.
.DISCUSSION...

Ceilings and visibility tomorrow will be in the IFR to MVFR range
as northeast winds bring in stratus and/or fog off the Bering. A
weak storm system moving through the area over the next 36 hours
will back winds as it passes over the area. A prolonged period of
westerly winds from Monday onward will bring calmer seas due to a
limited fetch, but the higher pressure may lead to fog
development. Generally speaking, higher cigs and greater
visibility is expected each afternoon, likely deteriorating
overnight and into the morning hours.
