Spot Forecast for FV ORACLE...USCG
National Weather Service ANCHORAGE AK
120 PM AKDT Thu Oct 29 2026

Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1400 AKDT on October 29.
.DISCUSSION...

Southwest winds will gradually increase through tonight as a deep
low currently north of Adak moves east, with the storm center
north of the vessel site by Friday afternoon. Northwesterly gales
will then develop Saturday as the storm moves into the Gulf. There
are currently low ceilings (OVC 300-500ft) rain and fog as the
area is currently in the warm sector of the storm. However, by
~4pm today the dry slot of the storm will move overhead, bringing
VFR flight conditions and mostly clear skies to the area. For
Friday, showery conditions are likely with ceilings between VFR
and MVFR depending on precipitation and shower intensity/location.
