.DISCUSSION...

A deep low over the Bering, roughly 140 nm north of Nikolski,
will track south across the Aleutians, or Islands of Four
Mountains, to the west of Nikolski around th 06z timeframe
tonight. Thereafter, the low will recurve eastward over the North
Pacific, roughly 100 nm south of Unalaska by 18z on Wednesday. The
passage of the low will maintain IFR conditions through much of
the period. Ongoing, sustained northerly to northwesterly winds of
30 to 35 knots will continue through the rest of the day,
decreasing somewhat after midnight tonight and becoming sustained
at 20 to 30 knots out of the north by 12z Wednesday morning. Gusts
during the TAF period will range from 30 to as high as 50 knots,
decreasing to 25 to 30 knots by 18z Wednesday.

Predominantly IFR ceilings are forecast through tonight with
ceilings at or just below 1000 ft. Scattered showers occasionally
may mix with snow, but no accumulations are forecast. With the
unsettled weather visibilities will be limited, decreasing to
between 1 to 3 miles at times. Expectations are for overall
conditions to not improve until later on Wednesday, closer to 1800
LT, when precipitation should wind down and visibilities improve.
Ceilings, however, may remain at IFR levels even after
precipitation diminishes.
