...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM
AKST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low 25 to 40 below zero expected.

* WHERE...Lower Kuskokwim Valley from Kalskag to Stoney.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM AKST Monday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if exposed to these
  temperatures.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An Arctic airmass continues to settle in over
  the area. This bout of cold weather will be prolonged over the
  next few days and into next week. The coldest wind chills will
  occur during the overnight and early mornings.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts between 50 and 60 mph
  expected. Wind Chills falling to as low as 35 below zero by Sunday
  morning.

* WHERE...Inland Bristol Bay and Northern Bristol Bay Coast.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.
  Frostbite may occur in as little as 10 minutes on exposed skin.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty winds will slowly diminish through
  Sunday. However, cold wind chills of 20 to 30 below zero will
  persist.
