...STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS ALONG THE ALASKA PENINSULA THIS
MORNING...

A strong frontal system and low pressure system is moving across
the Alaska Peninsula this morning. Winds have quickly increased
with wind gusts ranging from 45 to 75 mph, with the strongest
gusts around Cold Bay. These southerly wind gusts are expected to
peak in intensity by 10 AM before slowly diminishing and becoming
more southwesterly. Winds will shift back to the south this
evening with wind gusts increasing to between 40 and 60 mph.
