...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and Blowing Snow reducing visibility to 1/2 mile or
  less at times. Additional snow accumulation up to 2 inches. Winds
  gusting between 40 and 50 mph with isolated gusts as high as 60
  mph. Wind chill values 10 below to 20 below zero.

* WHERE...Southern Alaska Peninsula.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to
  blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
  snow could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could
  cause extensive damage to power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to the showery nature of these heavy snow
  showers produced by the clouds streaming off the ice edge,
  conditions can vary greatly over a short distance.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will
keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to
reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a
hat will keep you from losing your body heat.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM AKDT
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Blowing snow. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Visibility
  reduced to one-quarter mile or less at times due to blowing snow.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta Coast close to Etolin Strait, including
  Toksook Bay.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
  blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ground blizzard conditions have been observed
  along portions of the Kuskokwim Delta coast this morning. There is
  no new snowfall associated with this system, but gusty northerly
  winds are lofting snow from the ground across areas particularly
  near Etolin Strait. Conditions expected to improve quickly as the
  winds diminish by early Wednesday morning.

Use caution while traveling, especially in open areas.
