...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM
AKST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches.
Locally higher amounts possible along the Ahklun Mountains. Winds
gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Inland Bristol Bay and Northern Bristol Bay Coast.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Visibility could be
reduced significantly in heavy snow or in areas of blowing snow.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures will remain near freezing this
evening through Thursday evening. Precipitation rates will be most
intense overnight tonight through Thursday morning where most snow
accumulation will take place. The airmass is not overly warm or
cold. If warmer air is able to mix in more and result in more of a
rain/snow mix, snow totals would be lower. Conversely, if there is
more cold air in the column, there is potential to have greater
  snowfall totals.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
