Total snow accumulations up to 5 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph. Visibility reductions to one-quarter mile or less. * WHERE...Pribilof Islands. * WHEN...From noon today to noon AKST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Saint George Island will likely see most of the accumulating snow with this event. Even with minimal snowfall across Saint Paul Island, the strong winds will likely create significant blowing snow at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Visibility reductions to one-half mile or less. * WHERE...Southern Alaska Peninsula. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 PM AKST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
