This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut and eastern Dutchess County in eastern New York. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and diminish this evening. Some storms could contain gusty winds and isolated wind damage is possible. In addition, storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours, which may results in ponding of water in low lying and urban areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Heat advisories may be needed Sunday when heat index values are expected to reach or exceed 95 degrees in some lower elevation areas. Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are possible each day through Wednesday except Tuesday. Some storms today and Sunday could produce gusty winds and isolated wind damage is possible. In addition, storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours, which may results in ponding of water in low lying and urban areas.
