...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 3
  to 5 inches within the heaviest lake effect bands.

* WHERE...Southern Herkimer County.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A band of lake effect snow is expected to
  drop into southern Herkimer County this morning, and may impact
  the Thruway from late this morning through this evening before
  lifting back north and weakening tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
