...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southwestern Armstrong County in the panhandle of Texas...
  Southeastern Randall County in the panhandle of Texas...

* WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water
  crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 847 AM CDT, Palo Duro Canyon park official reported flooding
    in the advisory area. Minor flooding is already occurring.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Wayside and Palo Duro Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
