...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory today, hot temperatures or heat index
  values up to 108 expected. For the Heat Advisory on Wednesday, hot
  temperatures or heat index values up to 107 expected.

* WHERE...Palo Duro Canyon State Park.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM CDT this evening.
  For the second Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 8 PM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
