Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan
National Weather Service Gaylord MI
443 AM EDT Mon Sep 1 2025

...Mainly rain free with a few showers possible today...

.DISCUSSION...

While most areas are expected to stay rain free today, a few showers
may pop up across parts of northwest lower Michigan late this
morning and afternoon. Light southeast 20 ft winds around 5 mph or
less will allow for lake breeze formation to push inland from all
lakeshores this afternoon. Daytime mixing is expected to drop RHs
into the 30-40 percent range this afternoon where localized near-
critical readings between 25-30 percent will be possible. Better
rain chances and much cooler temperatures move in Wednesday through
the end of the week.
