...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS SUNDAY...
.DISCUSSION...
A dry airmass continues to dominate the state Sunday. High level
smoke has been keeping temperatures around 2 to 5 degrees cooler
over the western half of the state today. Min humidities are
around 5 to 10% higher over these cooler areas, but still have
time to drop this afternoon. Min humidities are still forecasted
to drop into the 20s Sunday afternoon, with north west winds
becoming breezy. Occasional gusts up to 15 to 20 mph will be seen
area wide, with more frequent gusts over NE lower. Higher level
smoke will continue to influence the state tomorrow, and could
lead to a few areas seeing higher min RHs and weaker winds.
More moisture will gradually move in from the west Monday, however
low changes for wetting rains. Winds turn southwest and strengthen
Tuesday as dry air likely returns.
