Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan
National Weather Service Gaylord MI
220 PM EDT Wed Aug 27 2025

...Turning Chilly with Diminishing Shower Chances Thursday...

.DISCUSSION... A cold front will pass through the region tonight
into Thursday morning, which will usher in a chilly airmass to the
region, with highs peaking in the 60s, perhaps struggling to
breach 60 across the interior terrain. Shower will be dispatched
to the south and east through the morning hours as the postfrontal
airmass sets up shop. The best chances for showers Thursday
morning will generally be south of M-32, with emphasis on the
Saginaw Bay area. Winds will be breezy out of the north...
sustained 10-15mph with some gusts approaching 25mph, perhaps up
to 30mph on the immediate lakeshores of both Lake Michigan and
Lake Huron. With fresh rainfall and min RHs struggling to get much
into the 50s, fire danger should remain low overall on Thursday
across northern lower Michigan.
