681 FNUS53 KAPX 110944 FWFAPX Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan National Weather Service Gaylord MI 544 AM EDT Thu Sep 11 2025 ...Quiet Conditions Continue... .DISCUSSION... Generally quiet conditions continue through Friday with high pressure in the region. Light north/northeasterly flow this morning to prevail, with lake breeze development likely this afternoon; most noticeable off Lake Michigan. Patchy dense fog to burn off through mid-morning, with partly cloudy skies expected today. Mixing heights range from around 2-3kft near the Straits to closer to 6-8kft toward M-55, where afternoon RHs drop toward 30-40 percent; mixing heights here could be as low as 4-5kft though. A rogue shower can`t be ruled out over the interior/near US-131 this afternoon, where lake breezes could boost things a tad, but most all areas stay dry. Patchy fog to develop again tonight, and very similar conditions expected again Friday but prevailing flow should turn more southerly with time. Rain chances return late Friday night/Saturday, with slight chance of thunder as well.
