...Showers and a few thunderstorms today...

.DISCUSSION...A cold front will swing across northern Michigan
today. Showers will become increasingly numerous today, and a few
thunderstorms are also expected. Gusty southwest winds develop
this morning, up to 30 mph. Winds become northwest by early
evening. West winds will be weaker Thursday, up to 20 mph, with a
relative lull in precipitation chances. But rain will be more
widespread again late Thursday night into Friday morning. Friday
will also be windier, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph.
