Fire Weather Planning Forecast for northern Lower Michigan
National Weather Service Gaylord MI
238 AM EDT Wed Oct 15 2025

...Dry Today and Thursday...

.DISCUSSION...Clouds will decrease this morning, yielding sunny
skies as high pressure moves overhead. Highs top out in the mid
50s to lower 60s. With high pressure overhead, winds will be
rather light (North ~5mph)... but this will also supply quite the
dry airmass. RHs will dip well into the 30s across the interior
this afternoon. Rainfall through the rest of tonight into this
morning will be quite light, so anticipating vegetation to remain
on the dry side, especially into Thursday. Much of the same with
high pressure overhead... sunny, highs upper 50s to mid 60s... and
RHs making a run into the lower 30s. As such, fire danger remains
low from parameters, but with how dry this fall has been,
certainly remains non-zero. We do start to see rain chances really
move into the picture Thursday night, with chances for rounds of
rain / showers carrying through the weekend and into next week as
the pattern turns much more active across northern Michigan.
