...HIGH IMPACT LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND WINDS FOR THE THANKSGIVING
HOLIDAY...

.Heavy lake effect snow and strong winds will combine to create
dangerous travel at times across parts of northern Michigan
Wednesday night through Friday. Worst widespread travel conditions
are expected late this evening into Thursday morning. Localized
dangerous travel will be possible under heavy lake effect snow bands
Thursday morning into Thursday night, especially across stretches of
US-131 and I-75.

  between 5 and 9 inches. Lesser totals between 2 and 5 inches
  across eastern portions of Montmorency and Ogemaw counties. Winds
  gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Montmorency and Ogemaw Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will lead to significant
  drops in visibility. Whiteout conditions are possible at times of
  heaviest snow and winds, most likely Thursday morning into
  Thursday evening. Combination of visibility restrictions and snow
  covered roads will make for hazardous travel.

  visibility. Whiteout conditions are expected at times of heaviest
  snow and winds, most likely Wednesday evening into Thursday

  snow accumulations between 10 and 18 inches. Localized totals
  between 18 and 24 inches are possible in Kalkaska and southern
  Antrim county. Lower snow totals of 6 to 10 inches possible across
  far western Antrim and western Kalkaska counties. Winds gusting as
  high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Antrim and Kalkaska Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will lead to significant
  drops in visibility. Whiteout conditions are expected at times
  this evening into Thursday morning. Heavy lake effect snow with
  snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches or more per hour is expected to
  lead to near zero visibility at times on Thursday and lead to
  localized dangerous travel conditions on roadways, especially
  parts of US 131.

  as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Charlevoix, Crawford, Missaukee, Otsego, and Roscommon
  Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds will lead to significant
  drops in visibility. Whiteout conditions are expected at times
  this evening into Thursday morning. Heavy lake effect snow bands
  with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour may lead to near
  zero visibility at times and are expected to impact stretches of I
  75, especially south of Exit 270 in Waters.
