...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...

The heaviest lake effect snows have ended; however, snow showers
will continue through much of tonight causing occasional drops ion
visibilities across northwest lower Michigan. In addition, area
roads remain snow covered and slick. Be sure to be cognizant of road
conditions if you are traveling across northern Michigan, and
remember to TAKE IT SLOW IN ICE AND SNOW!

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 4 inches,
  especially near Paradise, Tahquamenon Falls, and Whitefish Point.
  Low visibilities expected during the heaviest and most persistent
  snowfall.

* WHERE...Western Chippewa County.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
