.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1210 PM CDT Fri Oct 2 2026

Tonight

A warm front will move east across northern Minnesota and
Wisconsin. As the warm air advection increases across this area,
mid-clouds will develop. These clouds will move through north-
central Wisconsin late tonight and help keep temperatures from
getting any colder than the mid-30s. As a result, only expecting
patchy to areas of frost in central and north-central
Wisconsin. With very dry air below 7K feet, the chances for rain
tonight look to be very low (less than 20 percent). If they do
happen to occur, it would be likely north of Wisconsin 29 in
Taylor County.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the mid-30s to mid-40s.

Saturday and Saturday night

The 02.12z models continue to show that a Canadian cold front will
approach the area from the Northern Plains on Saturday and then
move southeast through the area on Saturday night. Like the
past several days, it looks like the better low-level saturation
will be north of Interstate 90. Rain chances in these areas
will range from 20-60 percent. Rainfall amounts will range from
a trace to a tenth of an inch.

High temperatures will be in the mid-60s. Low temperatures will
range from the lower 40s to lower 50s.

Sunday through Friday

High pressure will provide mainly dry weather with near to above-
normal temperatures through much of next week. If there is any
rainfall, it would likely occur from Wednesday into Thursday as a
cold front moves east through the region.

High temperatures will range from the lower 60s to lower 70s.
Low temperatures will range from the mid-30s to mid-40s early in
the week (Sunday and Monday nights) and from the mid-40s to
mid-50s for the remainder of the week. Temperatures will be cold
enough in central and north-central Wisconsin that there will
be likely some patchy to areas of frost.
