On August 25, the temperature at Rochester International Airport
fell to 48F. This ended an 87-day stretch (May 30 through August
24) of days with temperatures at or above 50F. This was tied for
the 6th longest stretch of days with temperatures at or above 50F.
It was tied with a similar stretch in 2008 (also from May 30 through
August 24). The longest stretch was 109-days from June 9 through
September 25. The period of record dates back to July 1, 1886.
