DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Hanna was located near latitude 35.2 North, longitude 46.2 West. Hanna is moving toward the east-southeast near 15 mph (24 km/h) and and this motion is forecast to continue over the next day or two followed by a turn to the east-northeast. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Small intensity fluctuations are forecast during the next couple of days. Hanna is likely to become a post-tropical cyclone by the latter part of this week. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
