The National Weather Service in Binghamton has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Schuyler County in central New York...
  East Central Steuben County in central New York...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 742 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated another round of
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain moving into the warned area.
  Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain fell earlier and another half to
  three quarters of an inch of rain is expected as these remaining
  showers and storms push through. Flash flooding is ongoing or
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Watkins Glen, Montour Falls, Tyrone, Savona, Hammondsport,
  Monterey, Sonora, Reading Center, Wedgewood, Bradford, Altay,
  Townsend, Watkins Glen International and Watkins Glen State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
