...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN LACKAWANNA...
SOUTHWESTERN WAYNE AND NORTHEASTERN LUZERNE COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM
EDT...

At 343 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bear Creek Village, or 7 miles southeast of Pittston, moving
southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Old Forge, Pittston, Moosic, Duryea, Bear
Creek, Dupont, Avoca, and Moscow.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Pennsylvania Interstate 81 between 168 and 182A and B.
 Interstate 380 between 20 and 22.
 Interstate 476 between 105 and 115.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
